Hi, I’m Lauren McCabe

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with 15 years of experience providing mental health support to children, youth, adults and families. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a high school teacher.

I’ve always loved meeting new people, chatting the day away with friends and family, and spending time in nature. My curious inclinations and my love for connecting with others led me to pursue a Masters Degree in Education and degrees in Teaching and Counselling Psychology.

In my professional practice, I’m dedicated to helping my clients cultivate hope and achieve their personal goals. I believe that we all have areas of strength and struggle and that by better understanding ourselves, we are better equipped to navigate relationships and the ups and downs of life. Thoughtfulness, care, skill, curiosity, and humour are some of the qualities I bring to my work. I am licensed with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

What to Expect

Your free consultation is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about the reasons you are interested in pursuing therapy. During our consultation, I will share information about how I work, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss goals.

At this time, I provide virtual sessions only. We can discuss my availability together, or you can view my openings online on my booking calendar.

My clients can expect a warm, welcoming and attuned presence from me. In your first therapy session, I will ask you what the most important thing is for us to talk about and work on together.

I meet with clients one-on-one (individual therapy), I meet with couples (couples therapy or co-parenting sessions) and I meet with families (parent(s) and child/youth).

Clients can book sessions one at a time, or clients can book a number of sessions at once. When first starting therapy, it can be helpful for clients to attend weekly or bi-weekly sessions for one or two months, in order to achieve desired shifts.

Open up new possibilities for how you experience your life. Contact me to book your free consultation.
